With the financial crisis ongoing it seems that all I hear about is how I should buy a home. I'd get a large tax credit and be able to write off all my mortgage interest on my tax returns. Um...If I could afford a house, I'd buy one. Believe me. But who can come up with the required 20% down anymore? You can't even get one of those 80/20 loans that were so popular just a few years ago. How about a tax credit for paying rent? Or for having my credit card interest rates jacked up almost ten percent because of the economy? (I still don't understand that...people can barely pay their bills now...how the hell are they supposed to pay more interest?)

There was a recent ruling by a court somewhere that this woman should be compensated for the death of her husband because he was addicted to cigarettes and died of complications from smoking. Seriously? Who in the hell doesn't know that cigarettes are addictive and can kill you? I'm a smoker and I can say that no one has ever forced me to smoke and held me down and put one in my mouth. In fact there have been TONS more people who have tried to get me to quit. Next thing you know people will be suing McDonald's for the death of relatives from heart disease and clogged arteries. Who knows, they probably already have. Come on people, start taking responsibility for your own actions and decisions and stop blaming everyone else.

Bristol Palin said in an interview with Fox News that abstinence programs are good in theory but they aren't really realistic. Hmmm, ya think? Try telling that to your hypocritical mother.
