New Years Eve The Right Way

Second year in a row that we've spent New Years Eve at home. Last year we had a group of friends to celebrate with us but this year it'll just be Adam, myself, and our good friend Amanda. Some drinks, boneless wings, chips and salsa, and lots of music and games. I could turn this into a tradition!

No Plans

Is it wrong that I don't care all that much about New Years? I'm more excited for the new year to be here than I am about celebrating the end of 07. I really am turning into and old fuddy duddy.

Switch

So I just discovered that if you switch two of the letters in my blog address you get taken to a bible website! Interesting. I hope no bible goers switch the letters, they'll be in for a rude awakening!

And to any of my readers who may be bible enthusiasts I in no way mean any disrespect.

Drive

Christmas has come and gone and I would be lying if I said I was sad about it. We had a great time with both of our families and got lots of great stuff for ourselves and the apartment. Where we're going to put everything I have no idea but I'll leave that to Adam to figure out.

There was one thing I was/am completely OVER in regards to Christmas...driving!!! I used to love driving. When I was in my late teens and early twenties I would love to just drive around for hours with my friend Kris (this was when gas was at the most 1.50 a gallon.) I think when I moved to Chicago the second time and had no car I lost my urge to drive. Now, when we go anywhere, I get sick at the thought of driving. Luckily Adam has some control issues when it comes to driving and usually does it, so I luck out. My luck runs out, however, when we drive long distances in any type of weather or darkness. His eyes bother him at night and he gets very nervous when it comes to bad weather and cars. So, I'm left to take us on our merry way. We drove to Ohio, then to Indiana, and finally back to Chicago for Thanksgiving and I was over it when we pulled into our parking space the Sunday after turkey day. My rest from driving wasn't that long since Christmas is just one month later. Again, we drove to Ohio, then to Indiana, and then I drove back to Chicago alone so Adam could baby sit his niece while his sister has her second child. After two days of work, I will drive three hours back to Indiana alone to spend some time with the new baby and finally the two of us will drive back to Chicago around the 31st. I have decided that after this, I'm done driving. The most I will do is drive myself to work and that's all. Period.

I used to bitch that Adam never let me drive. So, here is my apology: Baby, I'm sorry... you can drive all you want!

And to the asshole with his brights on behind me for 50 miles of the Ohio Turnpike...you're lucky my rage didn't turn into road rage. I STILL see spots from staring at your brights in all my mirrors for an hour! JACK ASS!

That Winter Itch

It started a couple weeks ago...with my legs. It has since spread to my arms, chest, thighs, and waist. Now before you start thinking of all kinds of disgusting things get your mind out of the gutter, I'm talking about that winter condition called ITCHING! I know there is probably a scientific term for this condition but I don't care, I'm sick of itching. The dryness that comes with the cold temperatures has been a formidable opponent for mine every year for the past 5 years or so. Each year it gets progressively worse and finally this year it has taken over 90% of my body. I'd like to think that it has nothing to do with me getting older because as some of you know, I'm not dealing well with turning 30 in six months but I can't help that little part of my brain that goes into over drive and immediately pops out the idea that with age come dryness. Screwed up, I know.

So here I sit with lotion all over my body. I've listened to Adam's advice and started lotioning my entire body as soon as I get out of the shower. Fun. Hopefully this will help lock in the moisture that I so desperately need.

Something To Figure Out

Use these three words to form a man's name and the city and state where he lives. I'll post the answer in a couple of days.
