Watch Out For Deer

Growing up in the country I would whiz down dark, winding roads not thinking twice about what dangers might lie in wait for me further along. I could drive with my eyes closed and always find my way home. (I never did this I might add.)

Living in the city now, I rarely drive. I've grown quite used to Adam doing all the driving and I'm more than happy to ride shotgun. There are only a few times that his driving has scared me.

Fast forward to this weekend in Ohio. I have never laughed so hard inside as I have the past few days. His country driving is quite amusing. He's very nervous about deer jumping out in front of him. I lost count at the number of times he's called out "watch for deer."
As a teen driving around here, I never thought to be cautious of deer. That was probably a bad thing on my part but as I said above, I grew up on these roads and was probably a little too comfortable with them.

I think it's great that he wants to drive around here and he's gotten pretty good about getting from my mom's house to the nearest town without directions from me. Maybe the next time we visit, he won't be so nervous about those pesky deer. Perhaps honking his horn will scare them into staying in the field next to the road and not jumping out in front of him.

Hot Dad

I'm sitting at the computer minding my own business when I see the hot guy in the window across the way. I admit that I've sat here a few times and watch him putter around his kitchen. NOT in a creepy way! Today however, I saw him with his little baby. Making faces at him/her (I can't really tell) and feeding his child. Then much to my surprise, he puts the baby down and starts chowing down on a sandwich.

Is there nothing hotter than a hot dad with his baby AND a man with an appetite?!?!

My First Scissor Sisters

I know this is a few weeks late but I haven't been in the mood to post anything lately, so I thank you in advance for your patience. :)

We went to Boston to see the Scissor Sisters in concert and I've complied a list of the top six things that I observed while at the show.

6) The Orpheum Theatre has so many rules, I'm sure there are prisons that are more lenient. Everywhere you looked, there was ANOTHER rule.
5) The Lipstick lesbians like the band too, it's not just gays. I befriended two who were sitting next to me. Ah, lesbians.
4) It's nice to know that ushers can have fun too and not just stand there like a robot. The one by our section was thrashing himself all over the place. Quite a sight to see.
3) The drummer, Baby Daddy, has quite a bear following. I haven't seen that many bears in one room in ages.
2) Most of the people there were either drunk or rolling. See # 1.
1) The group in front of us were so out of it that they were thrashing around and flailing their arms everywhere. I enjoyed getting hit three times by some stupid girl who had no clue what was going on. I don't think they even watched the show.

All in all, I had a great time. If you've never been to a concert of theirs, I'd recommend going at least once. They put on a great show.
